It's a scam, we have almost the exact one on file here

The wording is typical scam script, it is very hard to follow, not clear as it would be from a legitimate employer, there is a lot of superfluous information that would never be used in a normal employment discussion.

Then the cheque business?

*Am currently away now for an inspection contract with broad fabrics firm and I want you to know that my client will be sending you a payment in form a Money Orders/Cashier check which i want you to know that after deducting the agreed amount which is your portion the remaining funds will be used by my mother for her travel expenses, shopping and any other expenses(overdraft) immediately you have your portion deducted.*

You will receive a money order for more than the amount you are due, then you will be asked to send it, by Western Union, to another person. The money order/cheque will be fake, you will owe your bank the amount you have withdrawn, and there will be no trace of the scammer.

It is a scam

John Delaney
Typical scam just like 75% of job postings on Craiglist.

DO NOT respond - you don't want the scammers to have any of your personal information

To keep yourself safe when searching for jobs online, NEVER put your home address on a resume - just put your city and state. NEVER use your normal email address - set up a separate address just for job searches. That way if you do come across a scammer, your normal email won't be spammed to death or you won't click on an infected link that will start spamming everyone in your address book with porn spam. It's also a good idea to get a pay as you go phone to use for this - again if it is a scam you didn't give the scammer your real phone number. And NEVER click on any links asking you to do a credit check, background check, skills assessment test, IQ test, personality test etc before they will interview you - these are ALL scams and are fake sites set up solely to steal your identity and max out your credit card

Also, there is just TOO much information - a real job would not put all that in writing. That's something you would discuss at an in person interview. And the fact they want to send you upfront payment is ALWAYS a scam - they will send you a fake money order/cashier's check and YOU are the one arrested for bank fraud if you deposit itIs This A Craigslist Scam?
It is a scam. I have received similar responses when responding to ads for Administrative Assistant ads on Craig's List. Would get up front payment (in the form of cashiers checks/money orders) and deposit in my account and use part of the money for employer expenses. The checks would probably be counterfeit and bounce.

Had a similar experience few years back and actually received three checks in the amount of $1500 each. The checks felt flimsy and had no watermark. I called the bank (Wells Fargo). They asked that I fax them copies of the checks which I did. They got back to me that they checks were indeed fake and I should NOT deposit them into my account.

Well, this guy e-mails me back "Where is my money?" I told him his checks were bogus - which he denied. I still have the checks here. There are a lot of SCAMMERS out there - be very careful! Is This A Craigslist Scam?
It is a scam. The dead give away.

"I believe you are capable for this position and i will like to inform you that your location is the exact match and she will be coming into your city by 28th of October,"

This is the same email sent to every person who responded to the job offer. Go to http://www.deliveringtrust.com/index.php… to learn about some of the scams. There are eight videos. There is also a test you can take.

Take the time to read the warning about scams on craigslist.
