I received this email today about a job. Is it a real job or a scam?

My name is TONY ADAMS I am the owner of ADAMS TEXTILES

FABRICS COMPANY IN THE UK Presently, my company is looking for a

trustworthy bookkeeper, representative in Canada/USA. An excellent opportunity to work at home part time and still keep your full time job.

ADAMS TEXTILES AND FABRICS is a company that produces and sells

Chinese and African textile and fabric material in London. Our company

produces various clothing materials, batiks, assorted fabrics and

traditional costumes. We have clients we supply weekly in the states. My

clients make payments for our supplies every week by check which are not

readily cashable outside of the US or Canada; so we need a representative

to assist us in processing the payments. This will enable our cash to

flow more quickly and therefore would not tie down our capital. I would

be willing to employ you on contract basis to be my payment

representative back in the states. I am involved in alot of travel and this way I

could give my clients the authority to make the checks, money orders,

etc out to you. You could then easily cash at your bank, then withdraw

10% of the total amount as your commission and send the rest back to me

through Western Union wire transfer.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PROPOSAL FOR EMPLOYMENT PLEASE

COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION AND LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT. I NEED YOU TO FILL THIS POSITION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU SOON.

I smell SCAM all over this
I get these all the time!

SCAM!

Don't do it because you would be acting as the go-between the person buying the goods from this crook in the U.K. and the crook. God forbid if something happens to the order and the sender of the money is upset. They will come after you.

Trust me. I get these emails all the time. Spam them!I received this email today about a job. Is it a real job or a scam?
hi,

if you dont know the person who mailed it too your or recognise the email address,i wouldnt do it.they could easily scam you as on the form you have to write your address etc.

personally,i wouldnt do it.I received this email today about a job. Is it a real job or a scam?
If you didn't contact this company in the first place, then obviously it's a scam.
It's a scam.

I have heard of it.

They will send you a check, you will take it to the bank and deposit it, and send them their 90%.

Then the check they sent you will bounce and you ended up sending them your money.

Think about it, if you were looking to hire someone to handle big amounts of cash for you, would you just send out random emails to recruit people you don't even know?

Look at the application, all it asks is personal information about you. It doesn't ask for any qualifications or anything. And why would they need to know your monthly income?

Would you hire someone based on that application? to handle thousands and thousands of dollars for you?

NEVER trust any emails like this, they are part of a scam to get your money.

Put Adams Textiles and Fabrics in your search engine, see what you come up with.

Most I can find is some woman with the last name of Adams that makes quilts.

Delete it and move on.
The owner of a big company will NEVER use a free internet account i.e. Gmail, yahoo, hotmail.

Also, you can google the name of the company and get plenty of sites like this..

(scam)

Chances are they'll say they can hire you, ask for some kind of fee or your bank info, and take advantage of you
