I am Kelly Bynes , 44yrs of age, I'm an entrepreneur and investor by profession and I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in, from the Angel Investment Network in Canada and United Kingdom to various welfare and community service programs. I most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities. This position is home-based and flexible, working with me is basically about instructions and following them. My only fear is that I may come at you impromptu sometimes, so i need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings.

*Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.

*Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities..

*Basic wage is 300 pounds a week .

I'm sure you'll understand I tend to have a very busy schedule at this point as I am presently in United States for a summit. I will be back in Three Weeks time.

I think you're the right person for this post, Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules. It's a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others. So it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week. If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side. As I have said, I'd want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with. I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually. Permit me to use the coming week to test your efficiency and diligence towards all this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine.

I really need to find the perfect person for this job and i am confident you can take up the challenges. On the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us.I'm online most of the time as I am hard of hearing so I prefer we contact each other through E-mails but if there is need for me to call, I will be glad to do that. I am glad you are willing to work with me and i promise to be a good boss. I am also glad on the commitment in working. I have been checking my files and what i would want you to do for me next week is to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home which I do every month. The funds will be in form of Cashier check, it will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some list to email you once you received the funds. Kelly Bynes ...Online Personal assistant... a scam?
100% scam.

There is no job. There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money.

The next email will be from another of the scammer's fake names and free email addresses pretending to be the "secretary/assistant/accountant" and will demand you cash a large fake check sent on a stolen UPS/FedEx billing account number and send most of the "money" via Western Union or moneygram back to the scammer posing as the "supply company" while you "keep" a small portion. When your bank realizes the check is fake and it bounces, you get the real life job of paying back the bank for the bounced check fees and all the bank's money you sent to an overseas criminal.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

If you google "fake check cashing job", "fraud Western Union scam", "money mule moneygram scam" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of this type of scam.
100% SCAM.Online Personal assistant... a scam?
Of course you are!Online Personal assistant... a scam?
sounds like it
100% SCAM

First it's a scam to steal your identity by asking for all of your personal details

Then they pay you with counterfeit cheques/money orders asking you to deposit, keep a %, then wire the balance to the 'orphanage' through Western Union/Moneygram. This is called money laundering

NOBODY would hire a personal assistant they had never met and would NEVER ask a complete stranger they only know on the internet to handle any sort of financial transactions. These are criminal gangs, often run by the Russian mafia, looking for suckers to launder their criminal money for them. And guess who goes to prison for this?

Do not respond for any reason and report the post to Gumtree to get the ad removed before someone actually falls for it

Just google the odd sentence from the first paragraph "I most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities." and see how many other times this same exact sentence has been reported in job scams

and several hundred more
SCAM, and there it was at the bottom, cashiers cheque. You must be able to see this is the usual money laundering/bank scam. She will ask for your bank details and ID and there we go. Your account will be emptied.

I think we could all see it before we finished reading it.

Delete.
You will get a cashier's check. It wil lbe fake.

By law, a bank has to clear it within a few days, but it can bounce months later.

(and it will)

They will require you to wire or send money back. (or buy something)

They may even require you to give them your checking account details.

You will be out the funds for the cashiers check, plus the money you sent to this person
