Does this sound legit?

I got this response from a guy i responded to off of Craigslist for a job he was offering does this sound legit to you guys.

Dear Employee,

We got your mail for the cleaner offer advert we placed on craigslist. Thanks for your response, I'm happy to receive your mail for the post of house keeper. We are from United Kingdom. We are relocating to the united states to start our own partnership business . We need a reliable, honest and respectful person.

We are moving to the state by 27th 0f September and we need you to take care of the house by assisting us in doing the house chores, such as, cleaning the compound, rooms and some other things. My wife should have done this her self but i won't want to stress her up because she is pregnant and she will also be assisting me in running the business .

I am coming over for an Estate project which has been signed and approved by the United States Government and it will take me about 1 year to finish up this project . That is why i want to bring my wife with me. I am offering you $400 weekly and you will make yourself available every day to our schedule from Monday - Friday, 9am- 12.30pm each day.

Also about the payment, i want you to know that my client who is in the States will be sending you a check/Money order which will cover your fee for the first week and my wifes' accommodation expenses pending my arrival. So that is where you will need to help us take care of cleaning during the scheduled time. Get back to me with the following details of yours:

Full Name:

Address:

State,City and Zip code:

Phone #:

If you are satisfied with the offer, get back to me so that the paycheck can be forwarded to you as soon as possible.Does this sound legit?
It doesn't sound legitimate at all. I would also advise them that they will need to complete an I-9 form for you, tell them it's for tax purposes since you'll technically be a contractor. Most of the time this will scare them away.

Best of luck to you!Does this sound legit?
Nope, not legit. If you ever get an offer like this, where you are being paid by Western Union or Money order, and are to take your fee and forward the rest of the money to someone else, it's a scam. You'll get the money, the money order will turn out to be fake, and you'll be the one they come after to recover the funds.
