What happens if your loan check gets stolen?

My student loan check never arrived in the mail. That was over a week ago. The school is right by my house in the same city. The post office told me that it takes only one day since it's the same zip code and city. The school said they sent it last week Thursday. I really need this money, and know that I will have to pay it back no matter who has it. Is there any recourse such as finding out who cashed it if anyone did? I just want my loan money. I wouldn't have applied if I didn't need it. This is just depressing...What happens if your loan check gets stolen?
You might want to contact the school and advised them of you not receiving it. If someone stole it and cash it (which I highly doubt they can) they will be in deep trouble. The best thing to do is tell your school to issue a new one and let them cancel the original check. Dont worry the check can be traceable..im sure they wont get away with it.
hey since the "change" their policy and only MAIL checks then its there fault as well. Stuff like this can get lost very easily going through the U.S. post office. They should have direct deposit which would make everything easier. good luck I hope they get it resolved for ya :D

loan check or refund check?

If they sent you a loan check that is weird because mostly they send it straight to the school and not to the student.

If it's a refund check you need to call up the school and tell them that younever received it so that they can take the percausions right away to void it.What happens if your loan check gets stolen?
It happened to me, it takes awhile to get any resolution, the school has to do a investigation, its a big hassle, u should of picked it up if u live so close, thats what i do now
